Minutes of the Meeting

September 13, 2007

at Tuftonboro Free Library, Tuftonboro

ATTENDANCE: Yvonne Fisher – Ossipee Library, Rhoda Capron and Pat Vachon – Blaisdell Memorial Library, Nancy Bergeron - Madbury Library, Lindalee Lambert and Christie Sarles – Tuftonboro Free Library, Karen Brown – Nute Library, Debbie Christie – Goodwin Library, Berrie Donovan and Diane Cassidy – Gafney Library and Holly Brown – Gilman Library.

Meeting called to order 9:35 AM

MINUTES:

Karen made a motion to accept the minutes from the previous RALI meeting, dated June 14, 2007, as read. Seconded by Christie.  Debbie obstained from voting as she was not present at the previous meeting. All others voted to accept. Motion carried.

TREASURER”S REPORT:

Lindalee made a motion to place the Treasurer’s Report on file as follows:

Balance of last Report $2,703.17

Total Expenditures $467.59

Current balance $2,235.58

Motion seconded by Debbie. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS:

Lindalee has been sending messages through RALI mail list that have not been getting through to everyone. Lindalee can be reached at info@Tuftonboro.org or via the van.

Special thanks go to Karen Brown for her work in establishing and maintaining the RALI website. All members are very pleased with the website.

Any money remaining from the “Granite State Reads” grant will be used to purchase books on CD. Please save and send all comments to Christie no later than October 15, 2007. Please provide circulation statistics through the end of September 2007 to Christie no later than October 15, 2007. Christie must have all information submitted no later than November 1, 2007.

Remember to report any broken or missing items to Lindalee as soon as possible.

Bi Laws were reviewed for any necessary corrections.

NEW BUSINESS:

Election of officers:

Karen Brown – Treasurer

Holly Brown – Secretary

Berrie Donovan and Diane Cassidy – Co-Chair

Rhoda made a motion to accept the election of offers as indicated above. Seconded by Lindalee. Motion carried.

Rotation Changes:

Gafney Library will be dropping Video/DVD and will be keeping only Children’s Books on Tape/CD

Farmington will be dropping Adult Audio/CD and will pick up Video/DVD from the Gafney Library.

Nute Library will pick up Adult Audio/CD from Farmington.

We have one Adult Audio that may go to Milton Mills, if not, it will be divided.

Anything being dropped should be sent to Tuftonboro Free Library.

Purchasing:

Rhoda made a motion to spend $800.00 on Adult Books on CD and $800.00 on DVD’s. No new money will be spent on Children’s book on CD due to the grant. Berrie seconded the motion. Accepted by all. Motion carried.

Programming 2007/ 2008:

December 06, 2007 – Goodwin Library – Farmington - Rick Davis, “Totally Useless Skills.”

March 13, 2008 – Gafney Library – Wakefield – Titia Bozuwa, “Wings of Change.”

June 12, 2008 – Blaisdell Memorial Library – Nottingham – Jim Kelly, Science Fiction Writer.

September 11, 2008 – Ossipee Library – Ossipee – Annual Business Meeting – No Program. Membership Fees Due.
