OLD BUSINESS:
Please take a close look at the By-Laws. Berrie presented a revision for approval by RALI members. Compare them with the By-Laws that are posted on the RALI website. We will discuss these and finalize them at the next meeting. Berrie and Lindalee will work on getting them written.
One change is as follows:
Libraries may make changes in the rotation schedule in June by notifying the Chairperson.
Monies are expended each year after dues and fees are collected.
Do not sent broken, shabby or incomplete materials on to the next library. Weed the item out and keep books if there is a disk missing. Lindalee and Berrie will write a policy for this. If anything is removed from the collection please notify Bethany at the Goodwin Library in Farmington. Her contact information will be put on the RALI website and is as follows:
Bethany Freitag
goodwinrali@gmail.com
755 - 2944 ext. 2
CD/DVD repair will be discussed at the next meeting. The cleaner will probably stay with Bethany.
NEW BUSINESS
Karen has asked Movie Licensing USA to consider making a shortened version of the license that would be more economical for small libraries. They are taking this under consideration.
The Gafney Library has suffered extensive flooding damage after the most recent major storm. As a result, approximately 1/2 of the RALI materials held at the Gafney Library were damaged. Lindalee made a motion to allow Berrie to make a list of RALI items that need replacing and RALI will replace them. Seconded by Karen. Motion carried.
Berrie will put a "list of lost items" on the web in the event that anyone is able to send a replacement copy. You can also check the online catalog at www.Gafneylibrary.org if you have an item you would like to donate to them. All lost items have been removed from the catalog.
